IVC Brunel Healthcare started life in 1865 as English Grains in Burton-on-Trent supplying grains to the brewing industry and progressed to manufacturing yeast tablets from by-products.
In 1969 a tablet making division was established and began producing a range of nutritional & herbal supplements.
In 1991 English Grains was a acquired by Peter Black Healthcare who constructed the current purpose built facility in Swadlincote in 1996 to compliment an existing Brunel site in Bristol.
PBH sold the company to Perrigo in 2003, who then sold it again to Nutra Health (part of Elder Pharmaceuticals) in 2007.
